What is visceral bodywork?
Visceral bodywork (sometimes known as visceral manipulation) is a gentle, slow, hands-on practice that works with the organs of the chest and abdomen. So much of the tension we carry settles quietly into our centre. Using light, unhurried contact, Pam invites that held tension to soften, helping your whole system feel more spacious and at ease.
This is restorative, wellness-focused work for relaxation. It is not massage therapy, and it is not a clinical or medical service.
How Pam works
You rest comfortably while Pam makes gentle, slow contact over the ribs, belly, and back, following what your body is asking for rather than any fixed routine. The touch is light and the pace unhurried. The intention is simply relaxation and ease. Sessions can weave visceral bodywork together with BodyTalk and Pam’s wider energy-based work when that feels right for you.
What a session involves
This work happens in person on the land at Kayanara, woven through a two-night intensive or a retreat. It is part of your stay, not billed separately. Expect a calm, unhurried session with light contact and plenty of space to rest, followed by simple guidance to help you ease back into your day.
Who it’s for
Visceral bodywork can support you if you tend to hold stress in your core, feel tight or braced through the middle, or simply want a gentle, whole-body way to unwind. It suits people who love slow, subtle touch and a deeply restful pace.
