Yin Yoga with Pam Dhillon

Slow, quiet, floor-based yoga that invites your body to soften and your mind to settle. A practice of stillness rather than effort.

What is Yin yoga?

Yin yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga. Rather than flowing between poses, you settle into a handful of gentle, well-supported shapes and stay a while, often several minutes at a time. In that stillness the body begins to let go, the breath deepens, and the nervous system has room to soften. There’s nothing to achieve and nothing to push toward. The practice is simply about being with yourself.

This is restful, wellness-focused movement. It is not a workout, and it is not a clinical or medical service.

How Pam teaches

With 300 hours of yoga training and decades of practice, Pam teaches in an intuitive, unhurried way, offering plenty of props and choices so every shape feels supported in your body. She brings the same whole-person presence she brings to all of her work, holding a calm, permission-filled space where you can move at your own pace and simply rest into the practice.

What a session involves

Sessions run one to one online, and in person as part of an intensive or retreat. Current session lengths and rates are shown when you book. Expect a warm, quiet space. Supported floor poses are held gently for a few minutes each, with breath and stillness, followed by a soft return to your day.

Who it’s for

Yin yoga suits absolutely everyone. You do not need to be flexible, experienced, or “good at yoga.” It’s especially lovely if you’re feeling wound-up, overstimulated, or simply craving a slower pace. If you’ve been moving fast and want somewhere to land, this is for you.

Why practise with Pam

Pam Dhillon is a Quantum Healer, BodyTalk Practitioner, and bodyworker with more than 40,000 hours of experience. She holds an advanced yoga certification with 300 hours of training, and teaches the slow, restorative practice of Yin. She was a Registered Massage Therapist from 2005 to 2023, trained in a 3,000-hour program, and retired her registration at the end of 2023. She is not registered now, and eighteen years of that work sit behind how she reads a body in a pose. She completed all levels of BodyTalk over ten years through the BodyTalk Association and is a full mesa carrier in Mountain Shamanism. She teaches with decades of practice and a deep trust in the body’s own intelligence.

Common questions

Do I need to be flexible or experienced?

Not at all. Yin yoga meets your body exactly as it is today. Pam offers props and options for every shape, so you're always supported, with no flexibility or prior experience required.

Is this a workout or a medical service?

Neither. Yin yoga with Pam is gentle, restful, wellness-focused movement, not a fitness class and not a clinical or medical service. It is not intended to diagnose or address any medical condition. If you're looking for regulated care, please see a registered practitioner.

Can I practise Yin yoga on a retreat?

Yes. Yin yoga is woven into the intensives and retreats at Kayanara, where it is a beautiful way to slow down alongside the rest of the experience.

Ready to slow down?

Give yourself permission to be still. A Yin session is simply a space to breathe, soften, and rest.
